Pop Art Movement

Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in britain and in the late 1950s in the United Sates.
Pop art is art but its more like comic art  with pictures or a magazine collage but with more edits by the artists. I would describe it like modern art because it has living pictures that people can see when they go outside. I would characterize it in not being just pictures but having meaning in its art because this art uses objects and people from regular  life. This Art fits in history because it shows aspects of  mass culture and it shows different art from other art it has a different perspective. It also fits in Art history because many artist blew up during this time making it   a memorable movement. These artist were influenced because they grew up with art making them want to work with art later on in life.
Pop Art was a reaction and rebellion to abstract expressionism because of its dominant ideas but they later expanded on them.Pop Art came about during the time televisions sets were increasing in the United States. This could have led more ideas for pop art to evolve.

Richard Hamilton was a famous artist that merely introduced Pop Art in Britain were it originally started. He created a collage for an art museum in London which was said to have given birth to England Pop Art.

Andy Warhol is a central figure of the American Pop Art movement because of his paintings and screen paintings. He was also famous for his works on advertising local and national companies. He laid the foundation on commercializing which people now use in the future.

He was famous for his designs on coca cola and Campbell's pictures which were a huge turn for these companies. And this for him would lead for more people to be attracted to art.
We see the impact of the movement today because we see the art they put in the museum which means that a lot of people have liked it, and more people seem to be getting more into this Art movement. People are still influenced by this today because there more artist everyday we don't know about this that might be working on their own piece of Pop Art.

Pop Art could be included in political objectives because some artist use their art for advertisement and  for companies who might need screen printings and images. It tells us that some of us are we really into advertisements because you see a new one everyday.

There are artist that made Pop Art really important to us and this art played a major part in our history and plays a  major part in our future. Pop Art really made in difference in history that still affects us today. But are there more different types of art we don't know about yet?

This is my Pop Art painting i wanted to draw a world where i made a room that had some artifacts from the 1950's because that's when the pop art movement started and i had drawn old baseball and football jerseys.I had an old Lakers sign. I had a window in my room and i tried to show the future of pop art because pop art led to advertising and that's what Fabolous wanted to do.
