Art

                                                           What is Art?

Art is everything that is in the world or anywhere. It shows us picture in our eyes. The purpose of art was to see another side of the world,to show us a picture in the eyes of another. There are artist who showed us art in different ways. In my work of conceptual art I learned that this art was more at a modern time period. Some conceptual art could include Rectangular textures with different colors that have a pattern in them. I also learned about the movement of Pop Art because it showed us different  art a  more like comic art  with pictures or a magazine collage . I would describe it like modern art because it has living pictures that people can see when they go outside, its something thats happening at the moment.

Poem

Snakes and fake people act the same
Shame on them biting disabled
Sign language nah I rather tell you
Some call me Ed but only if you know me
Sometimes I act different but I’m just being me
Shaq Attack no ones guarding me in LA
Shaq don’t be scared he might be bigger but he ain’t on top
Shaq it was one time thing don’t let these white girls get in your head
Shaq theres a new Center in the NBA but he isn't half as nice as you.
Shaq loves Beyonce but he rather stay with his wife
Self Communication  just give me the ball.
Snake king give me an Alley Oop
Satisfied with one ring I think I want another.
Straight up in the sky I never thought he could fly.
Sand up all in his eyes he Think he the sandman.
Self advise don’t ask for the ball too much.
Sand in space is so hard to touch.
Sorry I know the answer but I just wanted to hear the truth
Staying up taking baskets to the dome I should quit
Sir I’m a future Hall of Famer Get out my way.
Sitting on top of the Ceiling waiting till I fall
Stephen curry might be better then Jeter one day
Se lo que dicirte pero no te lo digo, Know what to tell you dont know how to tell you
Some tell you that you’re everything to them but we’ll see in the end
Stay in the present moment never go ahead or backwards.

Andy Warhol

I like the painting of Marilyn Monroe because shes still good in either color she's in.In the first picture its a natural black and white. In the second picture she has yellow hair and pink in her teeth and eyeliner, birthmark and background. I think this could represent girls a lot because most girls love pink and that's what in the picture.

He Born on August 6, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
he moved to New York to become a Commercial actor.Andy Warhol was a successful magazine and ad illustrator who
became a leading artist of the 1960s Pop art movements.
He ventured into a wide variety of art forms, including performance art, filmmaking, video installations and writing, and controversially blurred the lines between fine art and mainstream aesthetics. He also graduated from college with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1949. I would desrcibe his work as amazing because he knows where and how to put colors into his drawings making it wanted to be seen by the public.
In 1961, Warhol debuted the concept of "pop art" paintings that focused on mass-produced commercial goods. In 1962, he exhibited the now-iconic paintings of Campbell's soup cans
Andy Warhol had a rough road at the age of 8 he got a disease called chorea while Warhol was sick in bed, his mother was a skillful artist herself. she gave him his first drawing lessons, and Drawing soon became Warhol's favorite childhood pastime . He was pressured and not accepted because he was gay but he still went on and became successful.
Warhol once said that “once you 'got' pop, you could never see a sign the same way again. And once you thought pop, you could never see America the same way again." I think  he’s right because once you put pop into something you won’t see it the same way you saw it before.

Pop Art Movement

Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in britain and in the late 1950s in the United Sates.
Pop art is art but its more like comic art  with pictures or a magazine collage but with more edits by the artists. I would describe it like modern art because it has living pictures that people can see when they go outside. I would characterize it in not being just pictures but having meaning in its art because this art uses objects and people from regular  life. This Art fits in history because it shows aspects of  mass culture and it shows different art from other art it has a different perspective. It also fits in Art history because many artist blew up during this time making it   a memorable movement. These artist were influenced because they grew up with art making them want to work with art later on in life.
Pop Art was a reaction and rebellion to abstract expressionism because of its dominant ideas but they later expanded on them.Pop Art came about during the time televisions sets were increasing in the United States. This could have led more ideas for pop art to evolve.

Richard Hamilton was a famous artist that merely introduced Pop Art in Britain were it originally started. He created a collage for an art museum in London which was said to have given birth to England Pop Art.

Andy Warhol is a central figure of the American Pop Art movement because of his paintings and screen paintings. He was also famous for his works on advertising local and national companies. He laid the foundation on commercializing which people now use in the future.

He was famous for his designs on coca cola and Campbell's pictures which were a huge turn for these companies. And this for him would lead for more people to be attracted to art.
We see the impact of the movement today because we see the art they put in the museum which means that a lot of people have liked it, and more people seem to be getting more into this Art movement. People are still influenced by this today because there more artist everyday we don't know about this that might be working on their own piece of Pop Art.

Pop Art could be included in political objectives because some artist use their art for advertisement and  for companies who might need screen printings and images. It tells us that some of us are we really into advertisements because you see a new one everyday.

There are artist that made Pop Art really important to us and this art played a major part in our history and plays a  major part in our future. Pop Art really made in difference in history that still affects us today. But are there more different types of art we don't know about yet?

This is my Pop Art painting i wanted to draw a world where i made a room that had some artifacts from the 1950's because that's when the pop art movement started and i had drawn old baseball and football jerseys.I had an old Lakers sign. I had a window in my room and i tried to show the future of pop art because pop art led to advertising and that's what Fabolous wanted to do.

Conceptual Art

Sol LeWitt is an american artist linked to various movements like conceptual art and minimalism. He was born September 9,1929 in Hartford Connecticut. He creates drawings on walls mostly, using only his hands. He talked about how its not about the hand movement but about the ideas you may have.
Rectangular textures with different colors that have a pattern in a subway station wall.He mixes his art with abstract expressionism but in a more modern way.

Sol creates another texture with rectangular textures mixed with different colors. He makes a  triangular pattern within his work to show his modern art.

Performance Art - Art History 101 Basics

Shelley Essak

http://arthistory.about.com/cs/arthistory10one/a/performance.htm

My article talked about the origins of Performance Art it originally started out in 1960 and  still in our present. People see performance art as live because its mostly body art. It is said to to describe any live artistic events pr artist that include poets, musicians, and filmmakers.I see performance art as live art because its being produced with music and
experimented with living things. I think Performance Art is art because its all the same thing the only thing is that it is live not like art. Its all connected because performance art is just live art but its still art so it all goes together.

The up and down ride

My picture represents the ups and downs of life. It shows how life can bring you up or down anytime. It has obstacles you have to go through that will put you down but you have to get back up.

I Understand this as art because it shows you the way of life.It shows you something about day to day life that you can visualize and see in your eyes.It shows us the picture of everything that goes through the world. And anything in the world can be art.
